Are you looking for a new best friend who is part lap dog and part kangaroo? Look no further than Janey! This precious girl was meant to be a family dog. From the moment she became a Proverbs dog, this sweet angel has brought nothing but love and laughter to all who meet her.

Treats, toys and belly rubs, these are just a few of Janeys favorite things. She is food motivated, almost always has a toy in her mouth (big fan of chewing, but only chews toys), and will flop around on the couch until you pet her belly. And if she doesn’t think she is close enough to you, she will sneak behind you to be your pillow.

Janey is potty trained and crate trained (she is getting SO much better at going into her crate on command, but once she’s in there, and has made her displeasure at not being in your lap known, she can sleep through the night). She is incredibly smart and picking up on basic commands very quickly. Janey is exceptionally smart and a working breed dog, so she will need plenty of mental and physical stimulation to keep her happy. But after a quick play session or puzzle, she curls up for a nap.

She is a pretty “plug and play” dog and would do well in most situations. She is scared of cats—she barks at them and backs up, or gets locked in a bathroom by them, but shows no aggression towards them. With more exposure, I think she would be fine, but right now, cats are just the scary little fur balls that pop up on the stairs and stare at her. She is not a huge fan of blenders or veggie choppers, she either likes to be outside or in her crate when you’re making noise in the kitchen. And Miss Janey does not trust vacuums, she will follow you around to make sure the vacuum does not hurt her person.

She had a rough start to life. She was found as a stray with babies, then all of her babies got adopted and her time was running out. But Proverbs stepped in and Janey had been embracing every second (and every toy) that comes with her new lease on life.
