Hi there! My name is Colby (Jack) like the cheese! I'm a big lap-full of love, wanting to share my affection with a person or family of my very own. I was found wandering close to a small local airport. The people who rescued me have looked for my owners, but no one has claimed me. My rescuers are fostering me, but can't keep me because they already have 3 dogs. I love their dogs!! They also have a cat... I'm very curious about him, and sometimes follow him around. But when I bark at the cat, my foster parents tell me "no", so I stop and leave him alone. I am completely potty trained, and don't get on the furniture or bed. I prefer to sit or lay by my foster parents' feet on the floor, and LOVE it when they simply lay a hand on my head or shoulders. Oh, I also love kids! I'm very gentle when being petted, but sometimes get excited and jump to give "hugs". My foster parents are working with me about "no jump". I'm a quick learner and respond well to verbal re-direction. I know "sit" and "shake", and I'm working on "stay".
One VERY important thing: I will need a fenced in yard, and to be walked on a leash when outside of the fence... I can't help that I get distracted by squirrels and birds... but sometimes my nose takes me farther than is good for me. My foster parents have a standard 4 foot chain-link fence, and that has kept me contained just fine so far. Please consider adopting me into your family... I promise I will love you forever!
