Charlie is a goofy, silly, and very happy puppy. He is 7 months old but will still probably have a bit of growing to do so it is important his forever home knows he may end up a bigger dog. He was rescued after being set on fire and because of that has lost part of one of his ears. While he has no permanent muscle damage from his burns and his fur is regrowing everywhere, his owners also need to be aware that the skin on his right side, belly, and right side of his face will always be a little more tender because of the severe burns he endured. His owners will need to ensure he does not spend more than a few hours outside each day to prevent sunburn/skin damage.
Charlie is housetrained and crate trained already and working on basic obedience. He loves to please and is very food motivated so this is helping his progress. He adores spending time with people, getting pets and scratches and also loves to play with other dogs. Charlie is a puppy which means he is high energy and he does best with at least 2-3 hours outside walking, playing, or at the dog park) each day. He has never acted aggressively in his life but is a larger puppy so should not be placed with very small children as he could accidentally knock them down. He would be a great second/companion dog however because of his kind personality and high energy.
One of Charlie's passions is water - he always wants to splash in puddles and blow bubbles in his water bowl. So his ideal home would have owners who understand that a kiddie pool in the background would mean the world to him. Charlie will make anyone a loyal, goofy, and very happy pet.
Charlie is: crate trained, house trained, walks well on a leash, good with dogs, good with cats, good with kids, rides well in a car
