is a tiny 7lb), senior est. 10-12 years), dachshund with a sunny, sweet disposition that brightens any day. She loves to put a smile on your face! She is blind from c but that doesn't slow her down. She knows her name and we are working on coming when called. Jojo is very easy to take care of. She enjoys snuggling in your arms and loving on you. She is house-trained and goes right to the door to let you know she needs to go out. She enjoys going out for walks on the leash or hanging out in the fenced yard. Jojo is curious and loves to explore. She has a great sense of humor and enjoys a good game of hide and seek. She is so tiny, she can hide in the flower bed and make us find her. She loves water, and will go out in the yard and find a puddle to flop in. She also loves the kiddie pool, but we have to watch her carefully so we can help her get out. Jojo is a flight risk, as she will go out an open door and run as fast as her tiny legs carry her! Her curiosity has her always looking for something new to check out. Jojo is a treat to be around! Dr. Bergstrom found that JoJo has Corneal Endothelial Disintegration. She has limited vision in her left eye and pretty much nothing in her right eye. This is a progressive disease with no cure. Dr. Bergstrom was pleased with the fact that she really shows no signs of discomfort with the eyes. He dispensed Sodium Chloride 5% ointment to be administered twice a day. It draws out the fluid and slows the progression of the disease. It is available over the counter.
