Mandrell is very sweet, calm and shy girl who loves to give kisses and eat treats!
When Mandrell first arrived at her foster home, she immediately hid behind the couch and didn’t want to come out. Since then, with lots of love and attention, she is coming into her own. She still likes to hang out behind the couch sometimes (in a laundry basket that has blankets in it…lol) but for the most part she now prefers to be her foster mom’s shadow.
Mandrell is potty trained although she doesn’t like to spend any real time outside (especially by herself in the fenced in yard). Her foster mom offers a treat to get her to go outside and she will immediately do her business and then head back to the house. She would make a great apartment dog.
She has been going on daily walks (a harness is a MUST) and seems to be enjoying it more and more. She does get confused on how long the leash is and tries to run after birds and squirrels, but she is getting better at understanding how to walk on a leash.
Her foster mom works from home but when she leaves, Mandrell stays in a crate and does fine.
She loves nothing more than to curl up as close as she can to her foster mom on the couch or in the bed.
Mandrell is a sweet girl that will melt you heart when given love and affection! She has everything you need for a life-long companion and shadow!
